Queer Radio Sydney 89.3fm 20DEC17

I tried to keep the lines of communication open but this year has been a challenge my original idea to keep the program together has really backfired on me as we do not work together we very rarely communicate with each other and my idea of a program to support the community and community organisations and work together as one has not really taking place this year with that said I’ve decided that I will not be continuing with the program Queer Radio Sydney 89.3fm I will not be returning to the studio in 2018 as part of Queer Radio Sydney.  I will reapply for a new program in February and we’ll see what happens !?  I’d like to wish you the team all the best in the future if you continue to do the program QRS but I’ll leave that up to Fifi Fo’Fum , Pandora Box or Nikki Facchine if they chooses to re apply for the program in February 2018 Which finishes on the last Monday 25th March 2018 They need to work it out between them  if they  wish to keep the program going but I no longer want to be part of QRS as it all become a little messy,, too much politics ,, I am sick of being let down by the team,, I’m sick of being the only one to promote & paid to promote the program that was supposed to be a team effort. I apologise but I think it’s better for the future and better for me if the opportunity comes up I will  be back in 2018 with my own shower :

R.I.P QUEER OUT WEST 89.3FM

R.I.P QUEER OUT WEST .. 02 December 2001 to 19 December 2016

All good things must come to an end in December Queer Out West 89.3Fm Will celebrate 15 years on the radio supporting the LGBTQI community of western Sydney now produced by Beverly Buttercup that took on the role in 2011 I (Beverly) has decided not to reapply for the program in 2017 this will see the end of the program in its current format with last program going to air on 19 December 2016 . ” I realise something I’m trying to hold on to things that I should’ve let go off a long time ago considering I went into semi retirement from Drag in 2013 and no longer in the loop ” So I will let it go in December (and do something different next year like relax and put myself first) so being a little dyslexic and relying on other people that let you down !! it is just no longer practical I cannot do the show by myself or put a show together and then end up being in the studio by myself just too stressful so much has changed in the studio and in my life and then there’s the politics !!! I need to let it go and give someone else the opportunity to step up and create a new program for the LGBTQI community in 2017 so if you’re interested in putting a program together and can volunteer around six hours a week plus training course plus meetings and you have to become a member of the co-op .. So all you have to do is contact the co-op of 2GLF – Fm 89.3 Community radio for more info : office@893fm.com.au That have supported many LGBTQI programs over the years like ; The Out West And Proud Program , Lesbians On Air and Queer Out West .. So you have a couple of months to come up with an idea apply for a program and do training if you’re excepted . I would like to say a special thank you to all the current presenters for giving up a few hours a month and come into the studio or participate in the program ; Nikki Facchin , LayDee KinMee , Fifi Fo’Fum , Pandora Box & Jeremy Smith. Plus a special thank you to Gavin Prendergast (ACON) , Rob Manser (G2G) & David Watson Formally from (Mardi Gras) And all special guest DJs that of come out to the studios in Liverpool : Dj Justin Scott , Dj Victoria Anthony , Dj Ray Isaac , Dj Dome DeSousa, DJ Anvi ..

Your sincerely Beverly Buttercup aka Bj Gaddes (02 Nov 16)
